​​​​​​​​​​​​​D​isaster Recovery Funding Arrangements

The joint Australian, state and territory governments' Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) provide a range of financial assistance to the natural disaster-declared areas in each state or territory.

For the storm which impacted parts of southern Queensland between 20 and 31 March 2021, the available assistance measures include:​

  • counter disaster operations in the twelve (12) local government areas of:
    • Balonne
    • Bulloo
    • Gold Coast
    • Goondiwindi​
    • Lockyer Valley
    • Logan
    • Moreton Bay
    • Paroo
    • Quilpie
    • Scenic Rim
    • Southern Downs
    • Toowoomba
  • restoration of damaged essential public assets in the twelve (12) local government areas of:
    • Balonne
    • Bulloo
    • Barcoo
    • Gold Coast
    • Goondiwindi
    • Lockyer Valley
    • Logan
    • Paroo
    • Quilpie
    • Scenic Rim
    • Southern Downs
    • Toowoomba
  • Disaster assistance (primary producers) loans, disaster assistance (working capital loans) scheme for primary producers and freight subsidies for primary producers in the local government areas of Goondiwindi and Southern Downs.

Recovery grants

Recovery grants of up to $75,000 are available for eligible primary producers in the local government area of Goondiwindi and Southern Downs​.
