Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements
The joint Australian, state and territory governments' Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) provide a range of financial assistance to the natural disaster-declared areas in each state or territory.
For the tropical cyclone which impacted parts of Queensland between 19 and 27 March 2019, the available assistance measures include:
- Personal Hardship Assistance Scheme is available in the four (4) local government areas of:
- Aurukun
- Cook
- Lockhart River

- Essential Services Safety and Reconnection Scheme is available in the four (4) local government areas:

- Counter Disaster Operations is available is available in the twenty-one (21) local government areas of:

Category C Assistance
Recovery grants of up to $25,000 are also available for eligible primary producers in the two (2) local government areas of Blackall-Tambo and Cook.
