Disaster Income Recovery Subsidy (DIRS)
For Disaster Income Recovery Subsidy (DIRS) was made available for 13 weeks until 31 March 2011.
Ex gratia payment for New Zealanders affected by recent flooding
Ex gratia payments for New Zealanders were made available up until 31 July 2011.
The Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment
The Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment (AGDRP) to provide immediate, one-off financial assistance to eligible Australians adversely affected by the disaster was made available up until 12 August 2011.
Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA)
NDRRA assistance was made available for areas affected by the December 2010 flood in the following 12 local government areas: Ashburton, Carnarvon, Exmouth, Meekatharra, Menzies, Mount Magnet, Murchison, Northampton, Sandstone, Shark Bay, Upper Gascoyne & Yalgoo.
NDRRA assistance includes:
- personal hardship and distress assistance
- restoration of essential public assets
- interest-rate subsidies for small businesses and primary producers
- professional advice grants and freight subsidies for primary producers, and
- clean-up and recovery grants of up to $25,000 for small businesses and primary producers.
