Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA)
This assistance is provided through the joint Commonwealth and State Government and applies to the natural disaster declared areas in each state.
Commonwealth financial assistance is available through the NDRRA following the November 2011 flood event for the 18 Local Government Areas of: Armidale-Dumaresq, Bland, Brewarrina, Glen Innes-Severn, Gunnedah, Guyra, Gwydir, Inverell Shire, Lachlan Shire, Liverpool Plains, Moree Shire Plains, Muswellbrook, Narrabri, Parkes Shire, Tamworth, Uralla, Walgett and the Upper Hunter Shire Councils
NDRRA assistance includes:
- personal hardship and distress assistance
- concessional interest rate loans
- transport freight subsidies
- restoration or replacement of essential public assets, and
- assistance for eligible sporting clubs.

Individuals suffering from personal hardship as a result of the flooding may be eligible for emergency assistance.
