Gippsland Flood (July and August 2011)
Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA)
Commonwealth financial assistance is being made available to the Victorian Government through the NDRRA for floods that occurred in Gippsland in July and August 2011.
NDRRA assistance is available in the Local Government Area (LGA) of Wellington.
NDRRA assistance includes:
- personal hardship and distress assistance
- certain counter disaster operations, and
- restoration of essential public assets.
Individuals suffering from personal hardship as a result of the flooding may be eligible for emergency assistance. Information about how to apply for this assistance is available on the Victorian Department of Human Services website.
