The purpose of this assistance package is to assist Australians seriously injured by the 24 April 2006 Dahab Terrorist Bombings in Egypt returning to Australia with out-of-pocket travel costs, where they have no other means to pay for such travel. This can include costs of support people who are required to support and accompany the seriously injured.

Assistance is not available where an applicant has received similar assistance through their insurance company or by other means.
To discuss your situation or seek further clarification or advice about accessing the above assistance contact your Centrelink Family Liaison Officer or call on 136125. This number is available Monday to Friday from 9am to 5.30pm EST (a message can be left after hours or on weekends).
Applicants will have until 31 December 2006 to lodge a claim for this payment.
