Central Coast and Hunter Region Natural Disaster

Given the devastation caused by the recent storm damage and associated flooding in the Hunter and Central Coast regions of New South Wales in June 2007, the Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment has been activated to assist those who have been adversely affected as a direct result of the recent storm damage and associated flooding.

Assistance

Australian Government assistance is available to people who have been seriously injured or whose principal place of residence has been destroyed or rendered uninhabitable by the storm damage and associated flooding in the Hunter and Central Coast regions of New South Wales in June 2007. This assistance will amount to $1000 per eligible adult and $400 per eligible child. Claims for this assistance can be lodged until 10 December 2007.
