Survivors and families affected by the 2002 and 2005 Bali bombings can continue to access counselling through their Family Liaison Officer at any time. The hotline is open Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm (Eastern Daylight Standard Time). Out of these hours a recorded message will include a mobile phone number to contact a Centrelink Family Liaison Officer. The Bali Hotline is available on 13 61 25.
This website was originally established by the Australian Government as part of their commitment to helping all Australians affected by the Bali tragedy of 12 October 2002. Disasters affect people in different ways depending on their involvement in them. It is important to realise that a tragedy such as the Bali tragedy will take time for many to get over.
Most people recover well and this happens best when they make use of friends, family and other community support. Talking about what they have been through with people who understand helps it to pass. See the personal support needs section for more information.
